We are so confident that your Fersina windows will perform to the highest possible standards that we have a lifetime warranty for Fersina manufactured products. Fersina Windows warrants that the vinyl products shall remain free of defects, in material or workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty applies only to products used strictly for the purpose for which they were intended.

1. Coverage Duration

This warranty covers your Fersina vinyl windows and doors installed by Fersina Windows for their entire lifetime. 
It is non-pro rated, meaning that the coverage remains consistent over time.

2. Manufacturer and Installation

Manufacturer: This warranty specifically applies to vinyl windows and doors manufactured by Fersina Windows.

Installation: It covers products installed by our skilled technicians.

3. Covered Components

The following components are included in this warranty:

Vinyl Extrusions: All vinyl extrusions are protected against chipping, cracking, peeling, blistering, warping, or sagging.

Window Hardware: Balances, locks, keepers, and casement operating hardware are covered to ensure proper function and design.

Glass Units: Glass units are warrantied against seal failure, which could obstruct vision due to dust, film, or moisture between panes. This coverage extends for 10 years from the date of purchase.

Spontaneous Glass Breakage: Glass units in Fersina windows are guaranteed against spontaneous glass breakage (pressure cracks) for 1 year.

Non-Fersina Windows: Glass units installed in non-Fersina windows are warrantied against seal failure for 5 years (with 1 year of labor coverage).

Window Screens: Window screens are covered for the full term of the warranty. Screen fabric, under normal use, is guaranteed for ten years. Screen repairs are performed free of charge when returned to Fersina.

Repairs: Repair labour is included for ten years from the date of purchase.

4. Exclusions

While this warranty is comprehensive, there are a few exclusions:

Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or negligence is not covered.

Acts of Nature: Fire, flood, or other natural events are excluded.

Air Pollutants and Atmospheric Conditions: Gradual fading, chalking, or surface dirt accumulation due to air pollutants or normal atmospheric conditions are not covered.

Localized Heat Stress: Damage resulting from localized heat causing excessive temperature differentials over the glass surface is excluded.

Non-Fersina Windows: Glass breakage in non-Fersina windows is not covered.

Worn Weatherstripping: Worn-out weatherstripping is not part of this warranty.

5. Repair and Replacement

Repair Labor: Repair labor is included for ten years from the date of purchase.

Replacement Parts: If an exact replacement part is unavailable, Fersina Windows reserves the right to substitute a part of equal quality.

6. Condensation

Condensation on the glass surface due to excessive moisture in the home is a natural occurrence and does not indicate a defective product or faulty installation. Therefore condensation is excluded from this warranty.

7. Transfer Of Warranty

Your Fersina Window warranty can be transferred to future purchasers of the original property subject to a registered letter being sent to Fersina Windows. Notification must be received by Fersina Windows within 30 days of the new homeowner/s taking possession of the property where the Fersina product was installed. This warranty will expire should the new owner fail to send Fersina Windows notification within the time period noted above.

Supply: It covers products supplied by our skilled technicians.

Spontaneous Glass Breakage: Glass units in Fersina windows are NOT guaranteed against spontaneous glass breakage.

Glass Only: Glass only purchases are warrantied against seal failure for 5 years.

Window Screens: Window screens in Fersina windows are covered for the full term of the warranty. Screen fabric, under normal use, is covered for ten years. Screen repairs are performed free of charge when returned to Fersina. On site repairs are subject to a service charge.

Proper maintenance must be performed on a regular basis. 

4. Exclusions

While this warranty is comprehensive, there are a few exclusions:

Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or negligence is not covered.

Acts of Nature: Fire, flood, or other natural events are excluded.

Air Pollutants and Atmospheric Conditions: Gradual fading, chalking, or surface dirt accumulation of vinyl and painted vinyl due to air pollutants or normal atmospheric conditions are not covered.

Localized Heat Stress: Damage resulting from localized heat causing excessive temperature differentials over the glass surface is excluded.

Vibration: Damaged resulting from vibration or moving of the building or its foundation.

Improper Handling: Damage or malfunction caused by improper handling or installation.

Unauthorized alterations: Products which have been altred or repaired by anyone other than an authorized Fersina service technician in a manner which has affected the performance or stability.

Services: Service and repair labour, service required byond a 75km radius of Fersina Windows, may be subject to travel charges at the discretion of Fersina Windows.

Labour Costs: costs relating to investigation of an improper claim.

Caulking.

Glass breakage for any reason.

5. Replacement Parts Or Repair

Fersina Windows reserves the right to discontinue or change any windows currently manufactured.  If Fersina Windows determines to make a replacement under the terms of this limited warranty and an exact replacement part is unavailable, Fersina Windows reserves the right to substitute a part of equal quality at its sole discretion. Replacement parts or units are F.O.B Fersina Windows in Peterborough.

6. Condensation

Condensation on the glass surface is the natural result of excessive moisture in the home and does not indicate a defective product. Thus condensation is excluded from this warranty.

7. HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR WARRANTY

Your Fersina Window warranty can be transferred to future purchasers of the original property by notifying Fersina Windows by registered mail being sent to Fersina Windows. Notification must be received by Fersina Windows within 30 days of the new homeowner/s taking possession of the property where the Fersina product was installed. This warranty will expire should the new owner fail to send Fersina Windows notification within the time period noted.
